TVNF UPDATE - Plan to end our lockdown
The Video News Factory team are all safe and well and I sincerely hope the same for all of our clients.
The company has furloughed our team to protect all jobs due to the lockdown as we could no longer operate as normal without the use of both on-location filming and our studio.
At the same time I have managed to ensure TVNF has enough cash-flow position to gradually recover the excellent trading position that we'd created by March 2020. We had 20 new clients join us since October 2019 and all major clients had renewed their managed service contracts. We must now focus on rebuilding our business as we have now a clearer idea of how the Government will allow us to ease restrictions.
How we are ensuring safe working & anti-viral protection
The MK studio and offices are already equipped with handwashing and a door handle disinfection regime.
When we re-open we will use extra ventilation with all windows open.
In each work area only one member of staff at any time
I am also implementing the use of advanced air filtration systems in every room including the studio to reduce airborne infection.
Staff will be recommended to also wear face coverings and asked to wash hands at least every 2 hours.
Together with use of the Coronavirus Tracking App and following Government advice we are confident that we can deliver the following services and so will gradually take staff off furlough to deliver the following by the dates indicated:
Immediately Available:
- Editing or clients own footage, animation 2D & 3D
- 360 degree product photography
- Digital marketing consulting and training
- Remote TV interviews using tools like Zoom combined with live studio and re-broadcasting to major services like YouTube and Facebook.

Available from June 15th 2020
Milton Keynes Studio will re-open with a single man operation allowing up to 2 clients to film interviews, presentations, training and education.
Guests will have the ability to plan remotely then attend filming via a separate trade entrance and to have their productions managed without the need to be physically in the same room or have any contact with any equipment.
Any furniture used will be disinfected between shoots.
- We can look to restart some on-location filming with individualized health and safety plans.
- Drone shoots.
- Plus we have a large car park and indoor warehouse for major projects needing safe distancing.
Finally, we are planning a big campaign to help MK Local businesses bounce back and also fund local charities. Please see our latest posts and offers.
