On March 16th, 2020 I started an MK community Facebook newsgroup with a video news channel service called MK Channel 40 to help MK beat coronavirus by promoting quality news information and education to help ordinary citizens care, share and protect MK.
We now have over 2,100 members and syndicate and support a dozen other MK Groups with a reach of 20,000 citizens. When I started the service I created a video using George Michael's song Killing Time as a tribute to the NHS, and it's time to find something powerful from our own musicians to replace this video. I want to find MK's best singer-songwriter to tell the story of how MK is beating coronavirus.
It doesn't matter what style or type of music you create, we simply want to find the voice and words that summarises the best of heroes and pays respect to those who have lost their lives.
The finals will be live-streamed on MK Channel 40's Facebook group 'MK Beating Coronavirus' at 7.30 PM on July 10th, 2020.
There'll be four categories for Under Under 5s, Under 10s, and under 16s and of course adults too! Entries must be in by the 3rd of July, there will be a week of public voting to whittle down entries to the top 12 (3 in each category).

The 12 finalists appear by Zoom on the 10th of July for a final live public vote and fundraise, plus invited to be part of a future fundraising 'End of Lockdown' celebration when we can eventually hold an event.
The overall winner gets a fabulous prize of a studio recording and a music video created by International award-winning music video director Nesanath Fernando.
To enter simply donate via Just Giving to MK Hospital Charity at least £5 and then use the link below to send us your entry:
